Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-04-26.
1. Introduction and acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your", "Customer") and the operator of green bubbles ("we", "us", "our", "Operator") governing your access to and use of the green bubbles VPN service and related websites at greenbubbles.app and all subdomains (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, completing checkout, importing a subscription URL into a VPN client, or otherwise accessing the Service, you (a) acknowledge that you have read these Terms in full, (b) agree to be bound by them, (c) confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements in Section 3, and (d) agree to the Privacy Policy which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, do not use the Service. Use of the Service after a Terms update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms (see Section 16).
2. Definitions
- Service: the green bubbles VPN, including proxy nodes, subscription URLs, customer portals, admin interfaces, APIs, mobile-friendly endpoints, and all related software and documentation.
- Subscription URL: the unique URL containing a token that identifies your account and is used by VPN clients to fetch encrypted server credentials.
- Account: the records tied to your email and (optionally) password that grant access to your subscription URL, devices, and billing portal.
- Device: a physical or virtual instance running a VPN client that has imported your Subscription URL and is consuming bandwidth on the Service.
- Subscription: the recurring monthly Stripe subscription that grants you access to the Service for the relevant billing period.
- Acceptable Use Policy or AUP: the rules in Section 6 governing what you may and may not do with the Service.
- Force Majeure Event: any cause beyond reasonable control as defined in Section 21.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or of legal age to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater.
- You must have legal authority to enter into this agreement on your own behalf, or, if accepting on behalf of an organization, legal authority to bind that organization.
- You must not be a person or entity subject to economic sanctions imposed by Canada, the United States, the United Nations, the European Union, or other applicable sanctions regimes.
- You must not be located in, ordinarily resident in, or otherwise accessing the Service from a jurisdiction where use of a consumer VPN is unlawful (it is your responsibility to verify local law).
- You sign up by completing checkout on greenbubbles.app. The Operator may, at its discretion, restrict or revoke access for any customer at any time as set out elsewhere in these Terms.
- The Operator reserves the right to refuse or terminate service to anyone for any lawful reason, including without limitation for violation of these Terms.
4. Account, credentials, and security
- Your account email must be valid, current, and under your control. Notices, invoices, and security communications are sent to this address.
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding your Subscription URL, account password (if set), and any per-device credentials generated by the Service. Anyone in possession of these may access the Service as you.
- You agree to notify the Operator immediately at support@greenbubbles.app of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. The Operator will not be liable for losses caused by delayed notification.
- You may rotate your Subscription URL at any time by request to support; this is recommended after any suspected compromise.
- The Operator may, in its discretion, require you to set a password, enable multi-factor authentication, or take other security measures to maintain access.
5. The Service
The Service routes your network traffic through proxy nodes operated by the Operator on third-party cloud infrastructure (currently Vultr, subject to change). The Service does not host end-user content of its own; it forwards traffic to and from third-party destinations of your choice.
- Protocols supported include but are not limited to Hysteria2, VLESS Reality, and Trojan over TLS. The Operator may add, deprecate, or replace protocols at its discretion as the ecosystem evolves.
- Server locations may be added, removed, or relocated at any time. The Operator does not guarantee service from any particular geographic region.
- The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use within the limits set by these Terms and the AUP.
- The Service does not provide anonymity guarantees against sophisticated traffic analysis, nation-state adversaries, or misconfiguration of your own client. The Operator makes no representation regarding your protection from such threats.
- The number of concurrent devices is currently limited to two (2) per Subscription unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Operator may adjust the default limit and may enforce it automatically by revoking the oldest device when a new one registers.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service, and not to permit any third party to use the Service, for any of the following:
a. Illegal activity
- Any activity that violates the laws of your jurisdiction, the laws of the jurisdiction where the proxy node you are using is located, the laws of Canada, or applicable international law including without limitation export control and sanctions regimes.
- Distribution, possession, or facilitation of child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") or any sexually explicit content depicting minors. Any account associated with such material will be terminated immediately, evidence will be preserved, and reports will be filed with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, and law enforcement.
- Trafficking in persons, weapons, controlled substances, stolen credentials, stolen financial instruments, or other contraband.
b. Network and security abuse
- Spam, unsolicited bulk email, mass messaging, or any other unsolicited commercial communication.
- Phishing, credential harvesting, business email compromise, or any deceptive scheme to obtain credentials, payment information, or personal data.
- Distribution, hosting, or command-and-control of malware, ransomware, spyware, stalkerware, exploit kits, or any other harmful software.
- Unauthorized access to, or attempted unauthorized access to, any system, account, or network you do not own or have written permission to access. This includes unauthorized penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, brute-force attacks, and credential stuffing.
- Denial-of-service attacks, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, traffic amplification, reflection attacks, or any other attack against third-party infrastructure.
- Operation of botnets, anonymizing relays for third-party illegal activity, or use of the Service to obscure the origin of an attack.
c. Resource abuse
- Cryptocurrency mining, distributed computing for commercial gain, or any other use that monopolizes shared bandwidth or CPU on the proxy nodes.
- Operating a public anonymizing exit, open proxy, free VPN, or any commercial reselling of bandwidth on top of the Service.
- Sustained high-volume seeding of copyrighted material via BitTorrent or similar protocols at a scale that degrades service for other users. Personal-scale, lawful peer-to-peer traffic is not prohibited.
- Sharing your Subscription URL beyond your own personal use or within a single household.
d. Deceptive or harmful conduct
- Impersonating any person or entity, falsely stating or misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity, or forging headers or otherwise manipulating identifiers to disguise the origin of any content transmitted through the Service.
- Bypassing platform-level controls or enforcement that you have voluntarily agreed to with a third party (employer-managed devices, school networks, court-ordered restrictions on internet access, parental controls you are subject to, and similar).
- Using the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or stalk any individual.
- Any activity that the Operator determines, in its reasonable discretion, threatens the integrity, performance, security, or reputation of the Service or its other customers.
Violation of this AUP may result, at the Operator's sole discretion, in any combination of the following: warning, temporary suspension, permanent termination of your account without refund, forfeiture of any unused prepaid balance, rotation of your Subscription URL, revocation of all registered devices, retention of records for evidentiary purposes, and referral to law enforcement.
7. Subscription, billing, and taxes
- The plan is a recurring monthly subscription for ten United States dollars (USD $10.00) per billing period, charged in advance via Stripe at the start of each period. Stripe is the merchant of record for the transaction.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate until cancelled by you or terminated by the Operator.
- The Operator may change the price of the Service at any time on at least thirty (30) days' written notice to your account email. Price changes take effect at the start of the billing period following the notice period. If you do not agree to a price change you may cancel before the new price takes effect.
- Prices are stated exclusive of any applicable taxes (including but not limited to GST, HST, PST, QST, VAT, and similar). Where taxes apply, they will be added at checkout or charged in addition to the displayed price. You are responsible for any applicable withholding taxes.
- Amounts paid are non-refundable except as expressly set out in Section 8 (Refunds).
- You authorize the Operator and Stripe to charge your designated payment method for all amounts due. You are responsible for keeping payment information current and accurate.
- If a payment fails, Stripe may retry the charge in accordance with its standard dunning process. The Operator may suspend or terminate the Service if a payment remains unpaid after Stripe exhausts its retry attempts.
- Chargebacks initiated without first contacting support@greenbubbles.app to attempt resolution may result in immediate termination and may be reported to credit bureaus or fraud-prevention services.
- The Operator does not currently offer annual, lifetime, family, team, or volume-discount plans. Any future plans will be subject to their own terms.
8. Refunds
- You may request a refund of your most recent charge within seven (7) days of the first successful charge on a new subscription if you cannot establish a working VPN connection after a good-faith attempt with at least one supported client.
- Refund requests must be sent to support@greenbubbles.app from the email on the account. The Operator will respond within three (3) business days. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe and may take five (5) to ten (10) business days to appear on the original payment method.
- Refund eligibility is limited to first-time customers and the first paid period. Renewal charges, top-ups, repeat purchases after cancellation, and any charge older than seven (7) days are non-refundable.
- The Operator may, at its sole discretion, deny a refund where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, AUP violation, or other abuse of the refund policy.
- Refund requests under applicable consumer protection statutes (for example, certain provincial or jurisdictional cooling-off rights) will be honored to the extent legally required.
9. Cancellation by you
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer billing portal accessible from your account, or by emailing support@greenbubbles.app.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You retain access until that date. The Operator does not pro-rate or refund partial unused time.
- You may at any time request immediate revocation of all registered devices and rotation of your Subscription URL.
10. Suspension and termination by us
- The Operator may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for: (a) any violation or suspected violation of these Terms or the AUP; (b) non-payment; (c) fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful activity; (d) chargeback initiated without first attempting resolution with support; (e) repeated failure to comply with reasonable security requests; (f) any reason required by law or by an order of a court of competent jurisdiction; or (g) any reason the Operator deems, in its reasonable discretion, threatens the integrity of the Service or its other customers.
- The Operator may discontinue the Service entirely on thirty (30) days' notice to active subscribers. In that case, unused prepaid amounts attributable to the period after discontinuation will be refunded pro-rata.
- On termination, the Operator may immediately revoke your Subscription URL, all device credentials, and access to the customer portal.
- The Operator's rights under this Section are cumulative and in addition to any other rights or remedies it may have at law or in equity.
11. Effects of termination
- On termination for any reason, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately.
- The Operator will delete account data within thirty (30) days of termination, except where retention is required by applicable law (for example, tax records). See the Privacy Policy for details.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including but not limited to Sections 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, and 27, survive termination.
12. Intellectual property
- The Service, including all software, source code, designs, trademarks, logos, documentation, and copy, is owned by the Operator or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.
- The Operator grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service solely for the purposes described in these Terms during the period your subscription is active.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this limitation.
- The trademark "green bubbles" and the green-bubble logo are property of the Operator. You may not use them without prior written permission, except for accurate factual reference to the Service in a non-misleading way.
- You retain all rights in and to your own data and content. The Service does not host user-generated content as a feature.
13. Privacy
The Operator's collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms. In summary: the Service does not log your traffic content, the URLs you visit, or your DNS queries. The Operator retains the minimum account data necessary to operate the Service, including email, Stripe identifiers, device fingerprints used to enforce device limits, and last-seen IP addresses for those devices.
14. Third-party services
- The Service relies on third-party providers including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (website hosting), Adobe Fonts (typography), and one or more virtual private server providers (currently Vultr) for proxy node infrastructure. Each provider has its own terms of service and privacy policy that apply to data they process.
- The Operator is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or policies of these third parties. Failures or unavailability of a third-party provider may cause the Service to be unavailable.
- Links and integrations to third-party tools (Hiddify, Shadowrocket, NekoBox, etc.) are provided for convenience. The Operator does not endorse and is not responsible for those tools.
15. Modifications to the Service
The Operator may modify, add, remove, or discontinue features, protocols, server locations, supported clients, or any other aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. The Operator is not liable for any modification or discontinuation, except where such modification materially reduces the core value of a paid period, in which case the Operator will offer a pro-rata refund of the affected period upon request.
16. Modifications to these Terms
- The Operator may modify these Terms at any time. The current version is always available at greenbubbles.app/terms.
- For non-material changes (typo fixes, formatting, minor clarifications), the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change but no individual notice will be sent.
- For material changes (changes affecting your rights, fees, permitted uses, or liability), the Operator will provide notice to your account email at least thirty (30) days before the change takes effect, unless a shorter period is required by law or to address a security or legal emergency.
- Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of a modified Terms constitutes acceptance of those modifications. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and cancel before the effective date.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Operator, its agents, contractors, and successors from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms or the AUP; (c) your violation of any law or any right of any third party; or (d) any content or traffic transmitted through the Service under your account. The Operator reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with the Operator's defense.
18. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, TITLE, ACCURACY, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. THE OPERATOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT YOUR USE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICE OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
19. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF THE OPERATOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO THE OPERATOR FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE FIRST EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER. THE FOREGOING DOES NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
20. Disclaimer regarding circumvention and unlawful use
The Service is intended for lawful privacy and security uses. The Operator does not encourage, condone, or take responsibility for any use of the Service to violate the laws of any jurisdiction, the policies of any platform you have agreed to use, the terms of any employment relationship, or any court order or government-imposed restriction applicable to you. You assume all risk and responsibility for your use of the Service.
21. Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance to the extent caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, government action, embargoes, internet outages, datacenter failures, third- party service-provider outages (including but not limited to Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, and the proxy node providers), large-scale cyberattacks, or extraordinary weather events ("Force Majeure Event"). The affected party will use commercially reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.
22. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to them or to the Service are governed by the laws of the Province of the Operator's principal place of residence in Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
23. Dispute resolution
- Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact the Operator at support@greenbubbles.app and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
- If informal resolution fails, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province in which the Operator resides for any judicial proceeding, except that the Operator may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, you and the Operator waive any right to participate in a class action, class-wide arbitration, or representative proceeding against the other. Disputes must be brought in an individual capacity only. If this class-action waiver is held unenforceable, the unenforceable portion is severed and the remainder of these Terms continues in effect.
- Any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues, or such claim will be permanently barred.
24. Notices
- Notices to you will be sent to the email associated with your account and are deemed delivered when sent.
- Notices to the Operator must be sent to support@greenbubbles.app. Notice is deemed received on the next business day in the Operator's timezone.
- For legal process or formal demand letters, you must first send a copy to the email above and use any postal address provided on request.
25. Export controls and sanctions
You represent and warrant that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or a national of any country subject to comprehensive Canadian or U.S. economic sanctions and that you are not on any Canadian, U.S., U.N., E.U., or U.K. restricted-party, denied-persons, or specially-designated-nationals list. You agree not to use the Service in violation of any applicable export control or sanctions law.
26. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any of your rights or obligations hereunder, by operation of law or otherwise, without the Operator's prior written consent. The Operator may freely assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law, provided that the assignee agrees to be bound by these Terms.
27. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies or addenda referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Operator regarding the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, and communications.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. The failure of the Operator to enforce any right or provision will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing.
- Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.
- Independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, fiduciary, or employment relationship between you and the Operator.
- Language. These Terms were drafted in English. Translations are provided for convenience and the English version controls in case of conflict.
28. Contact
